If you are interested in volunteering in the classroom or accompanying classes on field trips at Welby Elementary School, you must be fingerprinted through the district. This process can take a few weeks so it is best to get it done early.
All volunteers who have "significant unsupervised access" to children, as determined by the school principal, must bring their volunteer application signed by the school administrator to the Human Resource Department, be fingerprinted, and clear a criminal background check, at no cost to them, before they may volunteer. A new application must be completed annually. (Fingerprinting does not need to be done annually.)
Please also watch the code of conduct training video required by the Utah Legislature in 2019. Sign the corresponding document as acknowledgment and return that form to the school when you bring your application in to be signed by the administration prior to your fingerprinting appointment.
