Special Visitor

Welby had a special visitor: Jordan School District Superintendent Dr. Anthony Godfrey joined our Orchestra group on Tuesday morning  January, 9th. He witnessed a great practice and conversed with the kids about music.

In addition, our orchestra was highlighted on the Superintendent's Podcast, "Supercast."
Here is the link so you can hear the Superintendent's conversation with Barbara (Viola), Mateo (Viola), Chelsea (Violin), Alexis (Violin), and their director/teacher, Mrs. Anna Edgell:

Holiday Music is in the Air

Welby has been able to celebrate the holiday with some awesome holiday music. Choir - under the direction of Mrs. Evensen, Band - under the direction of Mr. Glover, and Orchestra - under the direction of Mrs. Edgell performed for parents and the entire student body in a fun festive holiday assembly.

Thank you to the Bingham Madrigals for performing for us today. You most definitely brought the Christmas spirit! and Buddy the Elf 🧝 🎄🎅🏻🎶🎹🎼🙏🏻

Celebrate the Holiday Season

It's time to celebrate the holiday season. The Welby Wildcats Student Council enjoyed the honor of decorating our festive tree. 🌲🎉🎁

DLI collaborates with CHHS Latinos in Action

We are so lucky to have Copper Hills High School - Latinos in Action come to Welby once a week to work with a different DLI grade. Our amazing students can work on their Spanish with older students.  What a great experience for all involved.

6th Grade - Samoan Cultural Dance Assembly

The 6th grade enjoyed a Samoan cultural dance assembly that included two of their own peers.  The Tupolo Family showed off some amazing dances that represent their family culture.  Special shout out to our own Welby Wildcats: Xavia, Arcadia, and Yvanna Tupolo.

4th Grade - Museum on the move (By Thanksgiving Point)
